It's a happy day seeing this sign restored over downtown Denison! ♥️🎉👏😃

Today is a really sad day in the history of Denison, Texas as the last p***s fell on the iconic downtown p***s building that has stood for over one hundred years. In 1897 the Clymer-Hughes block (no relation) was erected at 110-120 South Rusk in downtown Denison. Recent work on the building resulted in the roof collapse and this morning's demolition.

As the work week begins many of us are humming or even whistling the classic Walt Disney work song so here's a photograph I shot last month of a vintage midcentury modern sign in Arlington Texas. Swanky!

Wichita Falls Texas with the now closed Gene's Burgers (RIP) Garner's Drive In where they have served the folks of Berryville Arkansas since 1957 Somewhere in Northwest Arkansas with a chocolate dipped cone Cool off in Hot Springs Arkansas at Baily's Or another Northwest Arkansas ice cream joint Mineral Wells Texas Dairy Mart Drive Inn (yeah, 2 INN) And the Custard King in Astoria Oregon that I talked about a few weeks ago It's Sign Sunday!

Highlights of my day so far... Pretty exciting stuff if you don't underestimate the dangers of cleaning rain gutters. Every year tons of people fall off ladders and break their necks so yeah, suck it James Bond!
