📌The Iranian left thought they were helping build a revolution for freedom, social justice, and equality. Many socialists, communists, students, trade unionists, and secular activists joined forces with Ayatollah Khomeini to overthrow the Shah, believing they could shape Iran’s future together.

Khomeini’s movement didn’t just promise Islamic government—it made populist promises aimed directly at ordinary people: free water, free electricity, free bus transportation, housing for the poor, jobs, prosperity, and an end to corruption. He spoke of justice for the oppressed and a government that would serve the people.

Once power was secured, the alliance ended.

The Islamists systematically sidelined liberals, crushed independent unions, shut down opposition newspapers, purged universities, imprisoned dissidents, and eliminated rival revolutionary factions. Leftist organizations that had helped overthrow the Shah found themselves banned, hunted, imprisoned, tortured, or executed. Many of the revolution’s former allies became some of the Islamic Republic’s first victims.

The promises of freedom gave way to one-party religious rule. Political pluralism disappeared. Sharia-based laws were imposed. Mandatory hijab was enforced. Religious authorities became the ultimate political authority.

One of history’s harshest lessons: when revolutionaries believe they can use authoritarian ideologues to gain power, they often discover too late that they were only being used themselves.

📌 Armenian customs reportedly seized 143 bundles / 26 kg of undeclared natural hair hidden in pillows in a truck entering from Iran at Agarak. Armenian SRC also said there had been 11 such cases January–June, totaling 621 bundles / 135.7 kg.

On its own, that raises questions. Combined with years of documented allegations from former detainees and human rights organizations about the mistreatment of women in Iranian custody, it underscores the need for transparency and independent investigation.

Who did the hair belong to? Where was it sourced? Why was it being smuggled undeclared?

The stories emerging from Iranian prisons are deeply disturbing. Allegations of abuse against women detainees cannot be ignored. The international community should demand transparency, independent investigations, and accountability for any violations of human rights committed against women in custody.

📌 The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is not only accused of exporting violence abroad, it has repeatedly waged war against its own people.

According to reports by Iran International citing internal Iranian government, parliamentary, and IRGC sources, more than 35,000 Iranians may have been killed during the January 8/9 crackdown alone, with some internal estimates ranging from roughly 27,500 to 36,500 deaths. Other investigations have reported figures in the tens of thousands, making it one of the deadliest episodes in the history of the Islamic Republic.

This was not an isolated event. For decades, the regime has responded to calls for freedom with bullets, prisons, torture, intimidation, and internet blackouts designed to hide the scale of the violence from the world.

While many focus on the IRGC’s activities beyond Iran’s borders, countless Iranians know them for something far more personal: the force used to silence dissent at home.

The Iranian people have repeatedly risked everything to demand basic human rights, representative government, and freedom. The regime’s answer has too often been mass arrests, live ammunition, and deadly crackdowns.

The greatest threat many Iranians face is not a foreign army… it is the regime that claims to represent them.

📌 A U.S. Marine was confronted by a pro-Palestinian activist associated with PNN, a group known for conducting aggressive street confrontations and harassment-style interviews targeting members of the public.

The marine held his ground and defended himself and his country against the harassment.

According to multiple reports, PNN and its affiliates have built a reputation around provoking reactions for online content and have faced criticism for their tactics. (ADL)

There is a difference between peaceful protest and deliberately harassing strangers in public. Veterans, civilians, and anyone else have the right to go about their lives without being aggressively targeted for content.

Regardless of where someone stands on the Israel-Palestine conflict, harassment is not journalism, intimidation is not activism, and provoking confrontations should not be celebrated.

📌 While the Iranian regime works tirelessly to censor journalists, shut down the internet, intimidate reporters, and block foreign media from documenting events on the ground, ordinary Iranians continue risking their lives to show the world the truth.

VICE and other independent journalists have documented the extraordinary lengths the regime goes to in order to control information and silence dissent. Internet blackouts, surveillance, arrests of journalists, and restrictions on foreign reporting have become standard tools of repression.

Yet despite these efforts, videos continue to emerge showing unarmed civilians confronting security forces armed with rifles, armored vehicles, and live ammunition. Independent investigations and verified footage have documented instances where Iranian security forces fired live rounds at demonstrators during anti-government protests.

When a government fears cameras as much as it fears protesters, it reveals just how powerful the truth can be.

The courage of those who continue filming, documenting, and speaking out under threat of imprisonment or worse deserves to be remembered.

📌Toronto, Canada… An effigy depicting a Jewish person being hung alongside President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was reportedly seen at a pro-Palestine march this weekend.

No matter where someone stands politically on the Israel–Palestine conflict, imagery of hanging Jews crosses a dangerous line with deep historical echoes tied to centuries of antisemitic violence, persecution, pogroms, and public executions targeting Jewish people.

Criticizing governments and leaders is part of free speech. But when demonstrations begin using dehumanizing imagery, collective blame, or symbols historically associated with hatred against Jews, it stops being about policy criticism and starts fueling something much darker.

Canada has already seen a major rise in antisemitic incidents since October 7th, including attacks on synagogues, Jewish schools, businesses, and community centers. Scenes like this only intensify fear within Jewish communities who are watching hatred become increasingly normalized in public spaces.

If the roles were reversed and an effigy of another ethnic or religious group was displayed hanging in public, there would rightly be national outrage. The same standard should apply here.

Political activism should never glorify intimidation, mob hatred, or imagery associated with ethnic persecution.

📌Oct 8th 2023… PART 3.

Just one day after the Oct 7th massacre, this is what protestors in the streets of America had to say even before any IDF stepped foot into Gaza to free the hostages.

Pure celebration of murder… there was no occupation of Gaza yet, only hostages taken and Israelis brutally r***d and killed.

Their lack of moral clarity is astounding. This is them showing their true colors.
