Delray Landscape

🌴 Iguana-Proof? Almost. Landscape Smart? Absolutely.

In South Florida, choosing the right plants can make all the difference. 🌿 We’re sharing some of our favorite iguana-resistant plants that bring texture, color, and tropical style to your landscape—without constantly becoming a buffet.

Beautiful landscapes should be designed for South Florida living.

Even with limited backyard space, the right plant selection can create privacy, shade and a more enjoyable outdoor environment.

For this South Florida property, we used:

✅ Podocarpus
A narrow, dense-growing hedge that develops into a beautiful living wall without taking up too much valuable backyard space. Its fresh light-green growth matures into a rich forest green, adding depth and year-round privacy.

✅ Clusia
A durable, fast-growing hedge that is ideal for side yards and larger spaces where homeowners want privacy sooner. Clusia creates the look and feel of a natural fence while thriving in South Florida’s climate.

✅ Royal Poinciana
To complement the home’s Mediterranean style, we added a Royal Poinciana for shade, seasonal color and a broad, beautiful canopy. Its vibrant summer flowers make it an impressive focal point for the backyard.
Every property has different space, privacy and design needs. Our team selects plants that not only look beautiful, but also work with the layout, architecture and South Florida environment.

Follow for Part II

This Delray Beach property received a complete landscape redesign and installation focused on complementing the home’s Mediterranean architecture while creating a polished, high-impact entrance.
The design features a dramatic Latania palm as the centerpiece, delivering the appearance of a large silver palm while maintaining a slower growth rate and smaller footprint.

We layered the property with:

✨ Bougainvillea for vibrant Mediterranean color
✨ Espalier accents to add texture to the exterior walls
✨ Blue daze groundcover for soft, silvery foliage
✨ Landscape globes to create a grand driveway entrance

✨ Mexican beach pebble for contrast and visual grounding
✨ Italian cypress to frame the front doorway
✨ Spiral topiaries for a formal, architectural look
✨ Colorful crotons and jasmine for added depth
✨ European fan palms for texture and contrast against the white exterior

Every plant, texture and material was intentionally selected to complement the architecture and create a cohesive landscape from the driveway to the front door.
Your landscape should feel like an extension of your home—not an afterthought.
