Double R Smokers

Double R Smokers competed at the 3rd annual Border Pitt Battle in our hometown of Del Rio. We were able to place 2nd in beef fajitas, 2nd in beans and 7th in ribs. A huge thank you to our sponsors who made it all possible. @molcajetes.drtx Ranger Concrete and @fielddiagnosticstx

Double R Smokers had a great time competing at the Eagle Pass South Mwr 99th annual Border Patrol Anniversary in Eagle Pass. We hung out with some great people from our hometown of Del Rio and got to learn a lot from them. Unfortunately we did not place in our meat category but we did get a 1st place call on the margarita jackpot!

In our bbq 4th competition ever in a span of 7 months we managed to come home with a 2nd place margarita, 5th place Chicken, 10th place pork, 23rd brisket and 28th in ribs out of 66 teams. Congratulations to Black Fork BBQ on the grand champion and our other friends who also had walks Smokin Ain’t EZ and Smokin michelada miche mix. Del Rio represented well at the Hooker's 1 Stop cookoff.
