Mrs. King’s first graders had a hands-on learning experience as they carved a pumpkin and explored all the amazing details God placed inside it!

As they investigated their pumpkin, students learned about its parts, seeds, texture, color, shape, and how pumpkins grow. They used their senses, made observations, asked questions, and discovered that even something as simple as a pumpkin is wonderfully designed by our Creator!

What a fun way to connect science, creativity, and faith while learning about the incredible world God made!

🦊🌿 Learning Beyond the Classroom! 🌿🦅

Our 6th–9th grade students had an amazing field trip to the E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center! What a wonderful opportunity to step outside the classroom and experience science up close!

Our students enjoyed encounters with armadillos, foxes, possums, hawks, bobcats, and a variety of reptiles, while learning more about their habitats, behaviors, adaptations, and important roles within our ecosystems. 🐾🦎

Hands-on experiences like these allow our students to see what they’ve been learning in science come to life! We are so thankful for the opportunity to explore, ask questions, and appreciate the incredible diversity found in God’s creation. 🌎💙

A big thank you to the E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center for helping make learning such a memorable experience for our students!

We want to give a big thank you to Mark Bird for coming out and giving a demonstration on common tools. Mr. Bird is the owner at Aquatechs LLC Marine and Ornamental Construction who build docks, seawalls, and boats lifts for clients based in Walton County. Mr. Bird brings over 20 years of specialized construction experience to share with our students.

This demonstration not only gives the students basic knowledge of tools, but also prepares them for the FFA Tool Identification Career Development Event. These demonstrations help bridge the gap between the classroom and real world careers.

🎨 Art Class in Action! 🎨

Our students are practicing their drawing skills and learning that great artwork takes patience, practice, and perseverance!

Today, they focused on developing their observation skills, details, proportions, and creativity as they worked through their drawings.

We love watching our students grow in confidence as they discover that art is not just about creating a picture, it’s about learning to see, create, and express themselves in unique ways!

Today was a special morning at PRCA as we celebrated the incredible gift of grandparents and family with a delicious breakfast together! 🥰🍩☕️

Grandparents hold such a special place in the lives of our children. Scripture reminds us of the importance of passing our faith from one generation to the next.

Psalm 78:4 reminds us to tell the next generation about the works of God so that they may put their hope in Him. What a beautiful reminder that the lives we live today can leave a lasting legacy of faith, love, wisdom, and devotion to Christ for generations to come.

Thank you to all of our grandparents and family members who took the time to join us and make this morning so meaningful. Your presence is a blessing to our students!

🍩 A HUGE thank you to Dunkin’ Donuts for helping supply our delicious donuts! They were the perfect addition to our morning.🍩

And a very special THANK YOU to all of our PRCA parents, board members, and church members who helped make this breakfast fun, joyful, and memorable. We are so thankful for a school and church family that comes together to make special moments like these possible!

At PRCA, we are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate family, build memories, and encourage our students to leave a legacy that points others to Christ.

Pleasant Ridge Christian Academy would like to give a special thanks to Chelco for introducing us to Nonie’s Ark. Thank you Nonie for visiting our students and bringing along some amazing animal friends!

Our students had such a wonderful hands-on learning experience as they learned about the animals’ habitats, unique traits, behaviors, and adaptations. It was exciting to see their curiosity come alive as they got to see and learn about these incredible creatures up close!

We are so thankful for organizations like Nonie’s Ark that help make learning engaging, memorable, and hands-on for our students!

Thank you for spending the day with us and helping our students discover more about the amazing world God created! Nonie's Ark Animal Encounters

Safe to say these didn’t last long! 😍

Thank you Defuniak Nutrition for thinking of us and fueling our day!

Yesterday, the Pleasant Ridge Christian Academy FFA officers attended Chapter Officer Leadership Training (C**T) in Blountstown. Our officers had the opportunity to learn more about their individual positions, develop their leadership skills, and gain a better understanding of how they can use their roles to serve others.

Throughout the training, students worked alongside other FFA officers from across the area, sharing ideas, learning from one another, and building relationships. Experiences like this give our students the opportunity to step outside of the classroom and grow as leaders.

It was a long day, but it was a day well spent. We are proud of our officers for taking the time to invest in themselves and their leadership abilities. We look forward to seeing them take what they learned today and put it into action at PRCA, within our FFA chapter, and throughout our community!

Our students are learning about rocks and minerals and discovering just how amazing and beautiful God’s creation truly is! Today, we took our learning hands-on by cracking open geodes to see the incredible crystals hidden inside. 💎

It was so exciting to see the students’ reactions as they discovered what was inside each one! Activities like this remind us that sometimes the most beautiful things are hidden beneath the surface.

“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.” — Psalm 145:3 🙏

What a wonderful day of learning, discovery, and seeing God’s handiwork up close!
