Breathtaking views of the sweeping Missouri River Valley are captured year round from the terraces and veranda surrounding of our historic farmhouse. Defiance Ridge Vineyards can be your first and last stop in wine country, as we are easily accessible from Hwy 94 as you enter the Missouri Wine Country corridor. Defiance Ridge reflects our combined passions for wine, vineyard to table cuisine, unique events, warm hospitality and an authentic celebration of people and place. Defiance has become a destination for great burgers. 🍔
Although we do not offer a smash burger, we do offer three delicious burgers: the Barnyard, Frisco Melt, and Ozark Burger, each made from a special half-pound brisket blend.
They each pair great with our amazing 2024 Norton and of course an Oktoberfest brew. Be sure to stop by this month for the Defiance Oktoberfest! 🍻🍷

It’s W**e Time! 🍷
Nick, Murph, Justin, and Jackson have been working hard to process the 10 tons of Chambourcin grapes we got from our friends at Faolan Estate Vineyards.🍇
Wondering how this process works?
The grape hopper recieves the grapes via forklift, where a screw sets the flow of grapes being dumped into the crusher/destemmer. Grape stems and leaves are kicked out while the grapes fall through into the Must Auger, where a smaller screw forces the grapes through a 4 inch tube into the fermentation bins for further processing. Fermentation will require punch-down methods to stir up the grape skins that float to the top, these fermentations can take up to 3 weeks to finish.
