10 hour travel day to get to the Jersey Shore but we made it just in time for sunset!

A pretty sunrise to wake up to with the light reflecting off the clouds. Mostly cloudy skies will take over for most of the day, so expect to see a lot of grey skies through the afternoon.

A line of thunderstorms continues east around 40 mph, expected to approach the I-55 corridor around 830 AM and Decatur and Bloomington around 920 AM. Damaging wind gusts over 60 mph, large hail up to quarter size, and potential for an isolated tornado are possible. Seek shelter in a central room, basement, or storm shelter when severe storms approach, and have multiple ways to receive warnings.
