Thanks to Roaring Social Decatur for hosting our first Decatur High School PSTA Parent Social Event of the year. We had a great time! And, thanks to Jack for organizing. If you couldn't make this one, we hope you make it to the next event.

So great to see all the mascots together, and our DHS students representing with the Superintendent! Thanks for the fun City Schools of Decatur and DHS Athletics!

Fueled by speed and school spirit, SOARin' the Eagle from Glennwood Elementary took home the trophy (again) by winning the third annual CSD Mascot Run! The DHS cheer squad, along with Superintendent Dr. Whitaker, had the honor of cheering on all the mascots and welcoming them at the finish line. Special thanks to all the CSD mascots who participated, the organizers of this school community event, and everyone who came out to support the Mascot Run and the DHS Bulldogs!

The first DHS PTSA meeting of the year is coming up on Tuesday, August 18 at 6:30 DHS in the Media Center! Enter off the bus loop. You can also join us on Google Meet.

Plan to join DPI for their upcoming event! Our kids need us in different ways as they shift to high school and into college. They start to look like adults but the parts of their brains that control executive functioning and managing emotions are still developing. This panel features DHS's own amazing counselors and is a great way to meet other parents.
