DCTV (Comcast Channel 23) provides an avenue for DeKalb County government to speak directly to the more than 700,000 citizens in the county. All DCTV programming focuses specifically on showcasing the events, programs, services, and activities that positively impact the lives of DeKalb County residents, employees, and visitors. DCTV is a fully-programmed, 24-hour, government access, cable channel available to all Comcast cable subscribers in DeKalb County. To view DCTV’s broadcast on the Internet, visit the county’s homepage, www.dekalbcountyga.gov, and click on the “DCTV Quick Link” to get to the “DCTV Live Stream” link. Various DCTV programming is also available on the Internet through YouTube. Search for “DeKalbCountyGov” or go directly to: www.youtube.com/user/DeKalbCountyGov. DCTV captures Board of Commissioners’ regularly scheduled committee meetings (Public Works & Infrastructure [PWI]; Employee Relations & Community Services [ERCS]; Finance, Audit, & Budget [FAB]; Planning & Economic Development [PED]; and County Operations & Public Safety [COPS]) and offers a live stream of those meetings on the Internet through USTREAM. The USTREAM “channel” also provides access to archived videos of these BOC committee meetings. The USTREAM service can be found at: www.ustream.tv/channel/DCTV-Channel-23. DeKalb County Television offers the ability to have certain events (following approval by the Director) air on its station. ✈️ After a one-year hiatus, the Good Neighbor Day Air Show and Open House returned to DeKalb-Peachtree Airport (PDK) on Sept. 19, bringing residents, families, and aviation enthusiasts together for one of the region’s longest-running air show traditions.
This year’s event celebrated America’s 250th anniversary while continuing a more than four-decade tradition of connecting PDK with the community through aviation education, economic development, and opportunities to inspire the next generation of aviators.

Eligible businesses must be physically located in DeKalb County, operating for at least six months, have 50 or fewer employees, annual revenue below $5 million, and hold a current DeKalb County business license.

🚔🚒 DeKalb County recognized outstanding first responders for their courage, dedication and service to the community during the 2026 Valor Public Safety Awards on Aug. 4 in Clarkston.
The ceremony honored members of the DeKalb County Police Department, DeKalb County Fire Rescue, DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, and E-911 Communications.
DeKalb County CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson also highlighted the County’s continued investments in public safety and the vital role first responders play in protecting and serving DeKalb residents.

Hispanic Heritage Month was celebrated in DeKalb County with an evening of art, music, dance and cultural connection at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts and Community Center.
The Hispanic Heritage Month Kick-Off, presented through Arts DeKalb, featured artist Miguel Milló’s “Throbbing Life” exhibition, along with live performances, cuisine, a photo wall, and networking.

🇺🇸 On the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, DeKalb County Government and community members gathered for the annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony to honor the lives lost and the heroic efforts of first responders who answered the call that day.
The ceremony included the laying of a wreath, lowering of the flags, and a moment of silence. Beginning at 8:46 a.m., the ceremony honors the exact time the first plane struck the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.
