Introducing Plant & Sip - a summer series with Free Nature, hosted with Decatur Brew Works.🪴✨

On June 30th, build your own desktop garden with Shiann Currie of Free Nature. Shiann is part educator, part artist, and part plant magician. Through Free Nature, she has built a business centered around helping people connect with nature, creativity, and one another, making plants feel approachable for everyone from seasoned plant lovers to complete beginners.

More than a plant workshop, it’s a chance to connect, make friends, support local businesses, and enjoy a welcoming community space.

The evening takes place at Decatur Brew Works during Hi-Fi Low-Tech Night, where vinyl records set the tone for a relaxed evening of conversation, creativity, and connection. If you’ve spent time at Brew Works before, you know that Bob the Brewer has created something special - a welcoming, come-as-you-are space where people genuinely enjoy gathering.

One thing about In Good Company events — we want them to feel layered, interactive, and genuinely connective.

The activation hosts throughout Legacy in Bloom brought so much life to the morning, from collaborative art and florals to intuitive readings, plants, permanent jewelry, and all of the conversations sparked in between.

We believe community spaces matter because they expose people to new ideas, local artists, businesses, resources, and one another in ways that create real ripple effects.

Legacy in Bloom was everything and more.

A room full of women spanning generations, backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives — gathered around conversation centered on leadership, mentorship, creativity, community, friendship, and the kind of impact we build together over time.

There was so much honesty, wisdom, humor, reflection, encouragement, and genuine connection shared throughout the morning.

One of my favorite parts of the morning was watching women reconnect, getting outside of their comfort zones, exchanging numbers, sharing stories, encouraging one another, and continuing conversations long after the panel ended. And that’s the point.

Thank you to every attendee, panelist, partner, volunteer, activation host, and contributor who helped bring this morning to life.

Legacy isn’t something we leave behind — it’s something we actively build together in community, through the way we show up for one another now.
