3 weeks away from Imperial Mardi Gras on Mead Road. 1-5, Music, Gumbo, Red Beans, Fun, Family and Friends! 2-7-26!

Announcement: After lots of thoughtful conversation, the Mead Road Mardi Gras (MRMG) board has decided not to produce our annual parade and party this year.

With limited volunteer capacity, we want to be sure that when we celebrate, we can do it safely, joyfully, and the way our community deserves.

Mead Road Mardi Gras isn’t going anywhere — we remain an active nonprofit and are already thinking about the road ahead. If you’d like to help shape the future of the parade by joining our board, we’d love for you to reach out by filling out the form on our website (MRMG.org)

Remember that time when Winnona Park Elementary brought the partying to the Mead Rd. Mardi Gras parade and won Best Float? 🚨🏆 Thanks again to all that joined us!!!

From feathered masks to jazzy beads, and of course, the tunes that got everyone dancing, it was a day filled with fun, laughter, and a whole lot of CREW spirit.

We couldn’t have done it without our amazing WPES families.

And just like that, the 2025 Mardi Gras season is a wrap!

But it was worth it 💯

Join us Saturday, March 1 as we bring the WP spirit to Decatur’s favorite Mardi Gras parade! Meet us at FAVE at 12:15 PM (parade starts at 1 PM). Wear your WP swag or school colors and bring some fun noisemakers (tambourines, maracas, etc.) to make some joyful noise! 🥁🎺
