We were so blessed to welcome Pastor Scott Sessler as our guest preacher today! As part of a clergy swap, Pastor Scott and Pastor Crispin presided at each other's churches, bringing fresh perspective and wonderful encouragement to both congregations.

Pastor Scott shared a powerful message on Jesus' call to forgive from the heart. Holding onto resentment doesn't harm the person who hurt you—it only holds you back from the peace and freedom God desires for your life. True forgiveness isn't just about reconciliation; it guards our own spirits, preventing anger, bitterness, and the desire for revenge from taking root.

"Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, 'Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?' Jesus answered, 'I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times... This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.'" Matthew 18:21-22, 35

Let’s carry this heart of forgiveness into our week ahead, laying down our burdens and choosing grace just as Christ chose grace for us.

After the service, we had Fellowship. Pastor Scott also led us in a special prayer for one of our members, Tyric, as he prepares to head to Hawaii next week to return to his military service. Please join us in keeping Tyric and the McBean family in your prayers for safety, strength, and peace during this season of transition.

What a wonderful start to our First Communion journey today!

We kicked off our first class by diving into what a sacrament is and exploring the two major sacraments of the Lutheran Church: Holy Baptism and Holy Communion.

Our youth did a great job setting the ground rules for our time together, and they've got their first assignment: memorizing the Lord’s Prayer! Please keep these young scholars in your prayers as they grow in their faith.

Another great 5th Sunday gathering for our Men’s Leisure Group!

Today, the men had a special reason to celebrate as they welcomed Jeremiah to the group and showered him with blessings for his upcoming wedding. The men extended a warm welcome, sharing their blessings for a happy, fruitful marriage and a lifetime of joy. Across generations, seasoned members offered invaluable wisdom on building a successful partnership rooted in trust, respect, and commitment.

Rejoicing with Ashakie and Javane today as their sweet baby boy, Asire Tavane Robinson Parrilla, receives the sacred sacrament of baptism! 🕊️✨

It was such a beautiful, blessed service officiated by Pastor Crispin. May the Lord guide, protect, and surround little Asire with His infinite love and grace every single day as he grows in faith.
