The Lord Will Bring You Through It

Scripture: The righteous have many problems, but the LORD delivers them from every one. — Psalm 34:19 (CEB)

There is a misconception that living for God exempts us from trouble. But David, the writer of Psalm 34, tells us something different. He says the righteous have many problems.

Your trouble is proof that you’re living in a fallen world while serving a faithful God. But the good news is that God always has the final word.

David wrote Psalm 34 after one of the most frightening moments of his life. He was fleeing from King Saul, sought refuge among his enemies, and even pretended to be insane before King Achish just to preserve his life. David knew what it meant to be afraid, misunderstood, hunted, and overwhelmed.Yet after all of that, David declared that the Lord delivered him.

This Psalm wasn’t written from theory.
It was written from testimony.

So, remember three truths when trouble comes.

1. Trouble Is Inevitable

“The righteous have many problems…”

Notice David doesn’t sugarcoat life.
- You can pray and still have problems.
- You can tithe and still have problems.
- You can love God and still face disappointment.
- You can walk in integrity and still be misunderstood.

Our faith does not make us immune to storms.Our faith gives us Someone who rides through the storm with us.

Don’t let trouble convince you that God has left you. God often does His greatest work in difficult seasons.

2. God Is Present in Every Problem

“…but the LORD…”

Those three words change everything.

The problem may be large… BUT THE LORD.

The doctor’s report may not be good… BUT THE LORD.

The bills may be piling up… BUT THE LORD.

The family may be struggling… BUT THE LORD.

The presence of God is greater than the pressure of your problem.

Reference Scripture Isaiah 43:2

3. Deliverance Is God’s Promise

“…delivers them from every one.”

Notice the word every.

- Every heartbreak.
- Every disappointment.
- Every attack.
- Every season.
- Every valley.

Sometimes God delivers us out of trouble.
Sometimes He delivers us through trouble.
Sometimes He delivers us from becoming bitter because of trouble.

But one thing is certain:
God never loses one of His children.

Reference Scripture: Romans 8:28

God has never failed.
He has never been late.
He has never abandoned His own.

If He brought you through yesterday,
He’ll bring you through today.

If He carried you before,
He’ll carry you again.

As you begin this day, don’t measure God’s faithfulness by the size of your problem. Measure your problem by the size of your God.

Whatever you’re facing this morning, remind yourself:

* This isn’t my final chapter. God is still working.
* My deliverance is already in motion.
* The Lord will bring me through it.

Declare over yourself:
“I may have many problems, but I serve a faithful God.”

“My problems are temporary, but God’s promises are eternal.”

“The Lord is fighting for me.”

“I will not fear.”

“I will not quit.”

“I will not give up.”

“My deliverance is coming.”

“In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Don’t allow today’s problems to steal tomorrow’s praise. Every scar you’ve survived is evidence that God has already delivered you before.

God has never failed you before…
And He won’t start today.

Subject: Trust God
Psalm 121:1-2

Psalm 121 is one of the Songs of Ascents, a collection of psalms sung by Hebrew worshipers as they journeyed up to Jerusalem for worship. Because Jerusalem sits on elevated terrain, every pilgrim had to travel uphill. As they climbed, they sang songs that reminded them of God’s faithfulness, strength, and protection.

That journey is a picture of our own lives. We all experience valleys before we reach the mountaintop. We find ourselves in valleys of difficult decisions, disappointment, grief, sickness, financial hardship, broken relationships, loneliness, anxiety, and uncertainty. Those valleys can leave us weary and wondering how we will ever move forward.

Yet the psalmist teaches us a powerful lesson: when life calls us to climb, we must first learn to look up.

Looking up is more than raising our eyes; it is lifting our faith. It is choosing to focus on God’s power instead of our problems, His promises instead of our pain, and His presence instead of our fears.

When we look up:

* We find peace that calms troubled hearts.
* We receive strength for the climb.
* We discover hope that overcomes despair.
* We experience joy that circumstances cannot steal.
* We are reminded that our help comes from the Lord, the Creator of heaven and earth, who is never overwhelmed by what overwhelms us.

The hills were never the source of the psalmist’s confidence. God was. The mountains simply reminded him to lift his eyes beyond what he could see and trust the One who sees everything.

So today, if you’re walking through a valley, don’t become consumed by what’s around you. Lift your eyes higher. Trust the God who has already gone before you. The same God who led Israel safely to Jerusalem is leading you through every trial and every transition.

The valley is not your destination—it is only part of your journey. Keep climbing. Keep believing. Keep trusting. Every step upward is a reminder that God is faithful. The God who made heaven and earth has not forgotten your name, your need, or your next step. So don’t allow your circumstances to keep your head down. Lift your eyes and Trust God.

Subject: Push Through It
Text: II Kings 4:1-2

This is the story of a widow of a prophet. Her husband had died. She was left in debt And under Jewish Law her two sons were about to be enslaved until the debt could be paid off. They would be released at the end of 7 years. She had faced death, now in debt, facing the departure of her sons and left desperate.

We too often face the same issues.
Death - loss of loved ones, jobs, relationships etc.
Debt- bills, business weight, etc.
Departure - people leave us, children leave home or go off to school, etc.
Desperation - leads us to do extreme or some timed risky things because we feel forced to act.

In this case the widow went to the Prophet Elisha. She said, my husband was faithful. I feel like I have a right, a position to expect some favor from God.

When we follow God’s Word we have a right to expect some favor from God. You may not have been perfect, but if you’ve been faithful humbly expect faithfulness and favor will be returned to you. If you’ve been faithful God will reciprocate.

The widow didn’t just hand her sons over. She pushed through it. It would have been easy to say I give up. But she didn’t. She went to the prophet Elisha. He gave her instructions. She followed the instructions and God gave her favor to save her sons and more than enough to live off.

Don’t get so desperate that you just give everything over. Hand it all over to God. Just as the song says, Put it all in His Hands. Follow His instructions and watch Him work. Push Through It.

Some may be feeling Stuck, Motionless, Confused, Frustrated, and Tired.

The problem could be:
1. You are moving on your own command rather than God’s Command.

2. Your plans and goals need to be measured by the right rod. Jeremiah 33:3

3. We may have missed God.

4. We are following the plans God has for others rather than our own because our assignment is not glamorous enough or our platform isn’t large enough. Isaiah 55:11

Know that God’s plans are established. Psalm 139.

If you are feeling stuck, motionless, frustrated, confused, or tired, M.O.V.E.

M - meditate on the Word of God.
O - opt out of self control decisions.
V - value God’s plan over your own.
E - execute the plan and instructions God has given you.

M.O.V.E. on God’s Command.

Text: Proverbs 19:21

📖God’s Plans are Purposeful
-God’s purpose often hides itself in pain
-Joseph didn’t expect to be in a pit or in prison. But each prepared him for the palace.

📖God’s Plans are Precise
-What seems delayed to us is perfectly timed in heaven.
-Abraham and Sarah thought they were past the time of childbearing. But Heaven knew the perfect timing.

📖God’s Plans are Powerful
-No devil can cancel God’s plans.
-No person can stop God’s plans.

God’s plans will prevail.
God doesn’t need anyone’s approval for His plans.
When you can’t see God’s plans, trust His heart.
