For this album, my role was similar to a painter who witnesses a beautiful landscape or a photographer who captures a moment between a bride and groom. I was less the author or subject and more the eyewitness of something (& someone) much bigger than myself. It was my attempt to capture and convey the beauty, truth and goodness that springs forth from God’s Word in a way that was honest to me as an artist and songwriter.

As a believer, these songs are responses to passages that have deeply moved my heart, stirred my soul and brought me peace. As a father, these songs have become anthems and sing-a-longs in our home and in our cars. They are vehicles to help us, as a family, hide God’s Word in our hearts.

It has been almost a year since I announced my Sound Affections project. The time and creative energy I have poured into this project over the past three years are coming to fruition, as the full-length album will be available everywhere tonight at midnight! I am thrilled for the opportunity to share God’s word through music. These passages have encouraged, uplifted, and strengthened me in supernatural ways, and I desire for you to experience the same.
