I think a challenge I will always have as a photographer is that I鈥檓 more of an archivist at heart than an artist. Culling is agony.
2026 AHSAA Soccer Playoffs Round 2 DHS v Cullman

ICYMI: Wednesday was our Lady Raiders Soccer team's last game of the season, which sent them into Round 2 of the AHSAA Soccer Playoffs. It was a nail-biter of a game, with our Lady Raiders, Sam W, specifically, scoring the only goal of the first half. Cullman finally tied up the game in the second half, and everyone was kept on the edge of their seats until Cullman took the lead with less than 10 minutes left in the game. Our Raiders fought to tie it up but ultimately were unable to get another one past the goalie.
Our girls played valiantly and can walk tall knowing they left it all out on field.
The fans were out in spectacular fashion, which was AWESOME. Some of us may take a while to recover from knowing it was Ella's, Hope's, and Carrigan's last time on the pitch for DHS. They played the beautiful game, beautifully.
