How faith-driven women entrepreneurs can recognize God's hand in the process and avoid missing their breakthrough.

Ladies, there have been times in my life when I became so focused on the obstacles, challenges, and delays I was facing that I let frustration and bitterness overcome me and cloud my vision. I begin to feel like “I must be out of the will of God because there is no way I would be going through all of this if I were following the will of God for my life.

But the more I studied God’s word, listened to ministers speak and teach about trials, and prayed, the more I realized that resistance wasn’t a sign to quit—but an invitation to trust God more deeply. The delays, disappointments, and even some obstacles were all part of the process God allowed to produce the leader, minister, and entrepreneur He called me to be. To be honest, ladies, I almost missed my season and a Kairos moment (opportune moment when God’s purpose intersects with human history, calling for action, transformation, or response) because I lost focus on what the obstacles, challenges, and delays were producing in me to make me better.

There are three things I learned through all this, and I pray they will keep you from letting your struggles keep you from your season.

� Don't Let Your Pain Rewrite Your Identity - Scripture: Ruth 1:19–22.
• A difficult season may describe your experience, but it does not define who you are.
• Naomi interpreted her circumstances as her identity.
• What name have you given yourself that God never gave you?

� Trials Are Training Grounds, Not Stop Signs - Scripture: James 1:1–7.
• The very thing you want God to eliminate may be producing the leader your next level requires.
• Marketplace Challenges can develop Wisdom, Endurance, Discernment, Emotional Resilience, and Dependence on God.
• Are you merely trying to escape this season, or are you allowing God to form you through it?

� Obstacles are not indicators that you're outside God's will - Scripture: John 16:33.
• Jesus didn't deny trouble. He predicted it and then promised victory in the midst of trouble.
• Delays could be divine appointments in disguise.
• Delayed contracts, low sales, rejection, unexpected setbacks, and financial pressure are not evidence that God has abandoned your assignment.

While Naomi was focused on her bitterness, Scripture quietly announced that a new season had already begun. What Naomi couldn't yet see was that God was positioning Ruth to meet Boaz, restore their provision, redeem their family line, and ultimately become part of Christ's lineage.

Ladies, don’t let disappointment rename you. Don't let trials harden you. And don't let present trouble blind you to the breakthrough God may already be setting in motion.

This topic arose after I was invited to speak at an international event. By asking the right questions and doing some research, I uncovered several red flags.

Two scriptures from Matthew, Chapter 10, provided valuable insight during this experience:

“9 Do not take gold, or silver, or [even] copper money in your money belt, 10 or a provision bag for your journey, or even two tunics, or sandals, or a staff; for the worker deserves his support.” (AMP)

16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. So be as wise as snakes and as harmless as doves.” (NIRV)

Ladies, do not let eagerness for business cause you to undervalue yourself or let others determine your worth. God has prepared specific Marketplace Assignments for us, and we do not need to compromise our identity in Christ to fulfill them.

How can you discern whether an opportunity is from God or a distraction from "YOUR" assignment?

� As women of faith, our first step is to seek God through prayer (Jeremiah 33:3), trusting that He knows every detail.

� Not every opportunity is your assignment, and not every request requires your attention. Remain discerning (Matthew 10:16, Proverbs 4: 25 – 27; Psalm 37:23).

� “Count the Cost” (Matthew 10:9, Luke 14:28). Are you being compensated for your work, or are you paying to participate? Consider the Return on Investment (ROI).
