Not every good business opportunity is necessarily God-directed.

As CEOs and business leaders, we develop plans, evaluate opportunities, study the Marketplace, and determine how to grow. But as Faith-Driven CEOs, there's another question that should come before all the others:

“God, what is Your strategy?”

In Episode 48 of Women, The Word, and The Marketplace™, Dr. Yvette Rice challenges Faith-Driven women in business to examine whether the strategies they're pursuing align with the assignments God has given them.

In this episode, we'll discuss three important principles:

� 1. Don't Force-Fit Business Opportunities.
An opportunity can be profitable, prestigious, and visible—and still not align with your assignment.

� 2. Be Open to Shift Your Strategy as God Guides You.
In Luke 5:1–7, Peter knew his profession, had the right equipment, and had years of experience. Yet Jesus gave him a different strategy. Sometimes God isn't changing your assignment—He's changing your strategy.

� 3. Expect God's Strategy to Work.
Once you've prayed, sought wisdom, received direction, responsibly evaluated the strategy, and believe you're aligned with God's direction—execute.
God can give you the strategy, but obedience is what puts the net in the water.

Peter's obedience ultimately produced a result greater than his individual capacity:

Alignment produced obedience.
Obedience produced increase.
Increase created a capacity requirement.

So, what's happening in your business right now?

Is God telling you to walk away from an opportunity, change your strategy, or finally trust Him enough to execute the strategy He's already given you?
Ladies, God isn't asking us to choose between faith and strategy. He's teaching us how to bring our faith into the strategy room.

Ladies, when we think about great leaders, we often see the finished product.
We see the confident CEO.
We see the accomplished Executive.
We see the powerful Minister.
We see the woman who walks into the room with authority, wisdom, and confidence.

But what we don't always see is what it took to make her.

We don't see the disappointment she survived.
We don't see the doors that closed, the betrayal, the mistakes, or the seasons when the business struggled.
We don’t see the career setback, the ministry challenge, or the moments when she questioned whether she had what it took to keep going.

Yet some of those very experiences became part of the Making of the Leader.

True leaders are not merely discovered in difficult seasons; they are developed through them.

God can use what we endure to produce maturity, perspective, endurance, wisdom, and greater leadership capacity.

Pressure → Perseverance → Perspective → Purpose

Today I want to speak to the Faith-Driven woman who may be leading through a difficult season.

Whether you are a CEO building a company, a Career Professional leading in a corporate opportunity, or a Minister carrying an assignment from God, I want you to understand something: What you are going through does not necessarily mean something has gone wrong. God may be using this season to develop the leader your next assignment will require.

Let’s Talk About Four Elements that Make a Leader.

� 1. PRESSURE — Leadership Reveals What Is Already Inside You.
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:17–18

Pressure doesn't just test the business. It tests the leader running the business.

� 2. PERSEVERANCE — Don't Leave the Development Process Too Early.
Scripture: James 1:2–4
James doesn't merely say trials produce endurance. He says to let endurance have its perfect result. That means God can develop something in us through the process.

The goal isn't merely to get out of the difficult season. We must ask God, “What are You developing in me while I am going through it?”

� 3. PERSPECTIVE — Mature Leaders Learn to See Beyond the Moment.
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:18
Reactionary leaders make permanent decisions based upon temporary circumstances.

Mature leaders acknowledge what is happening while maintaining perspective about what is possible beyond what they presently see. Never allow a temporary circumstance to become a permanent definition of who you are.

�4. PURPOSE — Eventually, the Leader Understands What the Process Produced.
Scripture: Genesis 50:19-20 (I suggest you read Joseph’s entire story in the Book of Genesis.

Joseph's leadership development didn't happen when Pharaoh gave him authority. It had been happening for years. The palace revealed the leader. But the process made the leader.
