And just when we thought the countless rehearsals were over… the girls (and Levi) decided to spend the night at the studio! 🌙🩰💤
Our advanced dancer lock-in was filled with partnering, Nutcracker dances, ballet dvds, Mario cart, snacks of course, and plenty of memories made along the way. These dancers just don’t know how to stay away from the studio. Thank you to our lovely teachers Andrea, Blake, and Meagan for staying with our dancers!

Last night we celebrated the past year with our advanced dancers! We reminisced on favorite memories, recognized achievements, and filled the room with lots of laughter. A special thank you to the Watkins family and everyone who helped make this evening possible. We are so excited to see this tradition for years to come with our studio family!

Until then, we’ll be busy falling down the rabbit hole preparing to see you in Wonderland! 🐇🎩❤️

And just like that… the clock has struck midnight, and our Cinderella production has come to an end!

Endless thank yous to every teacher, dancer, volunteer, parent, dhs theater tech staff, and helping hand who made this show possible. We are so proud of how it all turned out and so grateful for this incredible community. From the first rehearsal to the final bows, this weekend was filled with hard work, lasting memories, and loads of candy. Thank you to everyone who joined us on this journey and helped bring Cinderella to life! 🩵🩰✨

✨Meet the Dancer✨
Jazlyn is 17 years old and will be a Senior this fall. She will bring 13 years of dance experience to the stage this weekend as Cinderella. In previous productions, Jazlyn has brought the role of the Scarecrow in Emerald City and the Sugarplum Fairy in our 2025 Nutcracker to life. She says she enjoys dancing because it is fun and loves being able to share this joy with her friends. Jazlyn thanks Karen, Jessica, her parents, family, and friends for their constant love and support throughout her dance journey. As she prepares for her senior year, she is excited for the opportunities ahead and is grateful for the memories and friendships she has made through dance.

✨Meet the Dancer✨
Levi is 18 years old and recently graduated from Perrin High School. This is his 8th year dancing at Wise Ballet and Music Academy. This weekend, he will be performing the roles of the Prince and the Dance Instructor. In previous years you may have seen Levi as the Nutcracker Prince and Arabian Entertainer in our 2025 Nutcracker and the Lion in Emerald City. Throughout the past 8 years, ballet has shown him the balance between grace and discipline. We can’t wait to see where life takes Levi next and are grateful to have been part of his dance journey.

A royal invitation awaits from Prince Charming himself for an enchanting evening at DHS theater! Join us for Cinderella tomorrow and Sunday, tickets will be available at the door for both performances!

✨Meet the Dancer✨
Sarah is 17 years old and will be a Senior this fall. This will be her 15th year dancing at WBMA. In this year’s production of Cinderella Sarah will grace the stage as the Fairy Godmother. Some favorite past roles include the Kissy Doll, Dewdrop, and Snow in our 2025 Nutcracker, a Horse and Rainbow in Emerald City, and Songbird Fairy in Sleeping Beauty. Sarah says ballet has taught her discipline and perseverance, which are both skills that help her succeed in her interests outside of the studio, like beekeeping and agricultural activities.

Octavia is 18 years old and an incoming Freshman at Sam Houston State University, where she will be pursuing a degree in dance. She has been dancing since the age of three and this is currently her fifth year at WBMA. Octavia will be dancing as the Stepmother and the Moon in this year’s performance. Her previous roles include Dorothy in Emerald City, Arabian Entertainer in our most recent Nutcracker, and the Lilac Fairy in Sleeping Beauty. Octavia says “Ballet has given me not only a way to express my artistic and creative passions, but also the most wonderful friends and experiences.” Above all, ballet inspires her to use her God-given abilities to worship Him.

The ball is calling… and so is the Evil Stepmother! Tomorrow is Dress Rehearsal at DHS Theater! Full costume, hair, and makeup for the day!

✨Meet the Dancer✨
Emily is 16 years old and has been dancing for 13 years. In this year’s production she will bring the roles of La Row, one of Cinderella’s stepsisters, and the Spring Fairy to life. In previous years you may have seen Emily as the Tinman in Emerald City, the Snow Queen in our 2025 Nutcracker, and the Enchanted Garden Fairy in Sleeping Beauty. She says “Ballet has taught me that building others up and supporting others will never hinder your own chances of success. At Wise Ballet and Music Academy, specifically, each dancer uplifts each other and helps them reach their full potential, rather than tearing them down for their own benefit. This creates a loving and encouraging environment that fosters positive mindsets and constant growth.” Emily carries this mindset in and out of the studio.

Kaiden is 14 years old and will be a Freshman this fall. She brings 8 years of dance experience to the stage as Prunella, one of Cinderella’s stepsisters, and a Fall Attendant. In our 2025 Nutcracker Kaiden danced as the Cat Doll and a Reed Flute. Kaiden says “I love dance because of the community we have at the studio and just dance itself! Dance works its way into my life outside of the studio too! It teaches me to push myself in my everyday life. I love dance so so so much and I’m so blessed to do it!” When she is not at the studio Kaiden enjoys crocheting, taking care of animals, reading, and painting.
