Parking team or guest services… these are just a few of the places we’re lucky to have incredible volunteers showing up every Sunday morning.
So much of what makes Decatur City feel like Decatur City happens because people are willing to give their time, energy, and care to others week after week.
If you’ve ever thought about serving and want to learn more, head to decaturcity.org/volunteer or stop by guest services on a Sunday morning.

Today we remember and honor the men and women who lost their lives in service to our country.
We hope everyone is enjoying the start of summer ☀️ We're kicking the summer off the right way this Sunday at DCC and you won't want to miss it.
As today marks the last day of school for many students in our district, we wanted to share a story that reflects what growing up at Decatur City can look like over time.
From Waumba Land to UpStreet, Transit, and InsideOut, this video is a reminder that faith is often built slowly, through years of consistent people, friendships, conversations, and leaders who keep showing up.
For some students, these environments become the place where they first hear about Jesus. For others, it’s where they ask hard questions, build lifelong friendships, discover a faith of their own, and eventually begin serving the next generation themselves.
None of it happens without the people who give, serve, lead, pray, and invest in these environments week after week.
Stories like these are why Sundays matter.

No in-person services this Sunday as we head into Memorial Day weekend 🇺🇸
But we’re still gathering, just online. Join us for a message from Joel Thomas wherever you are.
Enjoy the long weekend, stay safe, and we’ll see you soon.

So special getting to celebrate Ashley’s baptism this past Sunday! 🎉
“My life without Jesus was dark and felt like I was going in circles, the same cycle every day… Now, Jesus intersected my life. I realized that I wanted a personal relationship with Him, and I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
I want people to know that Jesus loves and sees you, even in the darkest moments. Do not give up. When you do not know where to go or who to turn to, turn to Jesus. He will show you the way. My life looks so different today because He has shown me that I do not have to be perfect. He accepts me for who I am and who He created me to be, and His love is everlasting.”
Really grateful we got to celebrate alongside you, Ashley.

In Waumba Land this month, we’re talking about what it looks like to be like Jesus.
Our preschoolers are learning simple truths through songs, stories, and small group time, including this month’s verse:
“Those who belong to Him must live just as Jesus did.” — 1 John 2:6
And for parents, we’ve got a conversation card on our website to help guide those same conversations at home. Head here to check it out: https://decaturcity.org/waumba-land
