Our hope is that Decatur City would be a place where you can celebrate when things truly are good and feel comfortable saying, “Honestly, things aren’t so good right now,” when they aren’t.

Labor Day began in New York City in 1882, when workers gathered for a parade and festival celebrating working people. More than 140 years later, it’s still a good excuse to slow down, enjoy the people around you, and take a breath before tomorrow’s routines return. 💛

Tailgate Sunday is coming to Decatur City! Vernon Gordon will be speaking during our one service at 9:15 AM, sharing a message about fear connected to his new book. Afterward, we’ll head outside for a Tailgate on the Lawn with DAS. Barbecue, wings, chips, and plenty of reasons to stick around. Bring your home team and wear your favorite team jersey.
