Last week I joined New South Construction and members of the design team for a drying-in celebration at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta. I am excited to see this project coming along. Phase 1 is complete, and admin and pastoral staff are working and collaborating together in their new office space. Phases 2 and 3 should be done by December.
The luncheon was hosted in the future Commons where the members will soon have a place to meet. Stay tuned.

Renovation of the Women's Transformation Center at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta is nearing completion and will soon provide a safe and supportive living environment for women with the goal of achieving self-sufficiency in a shared living environment. LLRID has been working with Houser Walker Architects, to provide finishes and furnishings selections for this and other community ministry services provided by FPCA. This project is part of the first phase of renovation work and we are currently working on phase two. Exciting things are happening!

I got of different perspective of Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport this morning. Our project for Airside Operations is nearly complete. The design team did a final punch for their space. LLRID provided finish selections for this project, with Goode Van Slyke Architecture team. It would have been easier to punch before flurry of furniture installation activity. Hopefully, I will get some photos when that is completed, before the group occupies the space in the next couple of weeks.

We are so excited to see demolition underway at St. Anthony of Padua. This beautiful, historic church, built in the 1920's, is located in Atlanta's West End (next to the Wren's Nest), and is one of the oldest churches in the Archdioceses of Atlanta. LLRID has teamed with Smith Boland Architects to select finishes for the renovation work, which will include expanding the Sanctuary platform area, as well as upgrades to the lighting and sound systems. This one has been a long time in coming to fruition, and we can't wait to see the completed project in mid-August.
