Some more tips to get ready for this weather!

❄️ Heads up, friends — winter weather is on the way ❄️
With very cold temps, ice, and snow expected Friday, we wanted to share a few quick tips to help keep your home warm and safe:

• Check or change your air filter before the storm hits
• Keep your thermostat set to one steady temperature
• If you have a heat pump: let it run like normal. Emergency Heat should only be used if your home won’t keep up, the outdoor unit is iced over, or you’re not getting heat
• Make sure outdoor units and vent pipes stay clear of snow and ice
• Let faucets drip and open sink cabinets on exterior walls to help prevent frozen pipes
• Please don’t use fuel-burning heaters indoors

During extreme cold, it’s normal for heating systems to run longer and not feel as strong — that doesn’t always mean something’s wrong. If you lose heat, notice strange noises, or have safety concerns, reach out and we’ll help however we can as conditions allow.

Last night at a Grace Fellowship Gather Women’s event, we walked out of the sanctuary and were surprised to see one of our own—installers…. Dylan! He was serving at the event.

We love our people at Decatur Heat & Air Inc., our community truly is our mission field, and it means everything to work alongside team members who serve with heart both on and off the clock. So proud of you, Dylan.
