Today is the fourth Sunday of our new liturgical season: Ordinary Time, a season of growth. It is also the second of our two Family Sundays, in which kids K-5th grades will join their families for worship in the sanctuary and remain with them throughout the entirety of the service at both 9 & 11am.

This Juneteenth, we gather in a spirit of reflection, celebration, and repentance.

We are excited to highlight this month’s ministry partner, Memorial Drive Ministries.

MDM envisions the end of disconnectedness for refugees and the multicultural community of Clarkston. Located in the most diverse square mile in America due to decades of welcoming those fleeing persecution, MDM fosters diverse Christian worship, innovative social services, and transformative relationships by offering a shared space for multiple Onsite Partners: congregations, nonprofits, recreation groups, and community organizations that serve our new neighbors. MDM provides welcoming space, develops capacity-expanding community, and convenes critical conversations to help us all grow better connected to God, one another, and creation.

Immanuel Kids Camp 2026 has come and gone, and it was one for the books. This year's Survivor-themed camp was an absolute blast, as nearly 100 kids, volunteers and staff, and animals (!) filled our space and brought lots of joy to our whole church community.

As always, an absolutely massive shoutout goes to our Children's Pastor, Becky Durham, for all of her hard work that went into organizing and executing this wonderful week, as well as our many volunteers and staff that gave their time to make sure our kids had an awesome experience.

So thankful for this ministry that our community has cultivated. See you next year!

In April, we celebrated Baptism Sundays during Eastertide. These Sundays are such special times for our church community.

As we enter this "great green growing season" of Ordinary Time, we reflect on the previous liturgical season of feasting, and the ways in which we have continuously witnessed Christ moving throughout our congregation.

We're so thankful for the joy that Baptism Sundays bring, and we carry that joy with us into this season of Ordinary Time. Thank you, Lord!
