Carolyn Fountain was elected the 25th president of WMU, SBC during the WMU Missions Celebration and Annual Meeting on June 7, 2026 in Orlando, Florida.

A native of Tallulah, Louisiana, she and her husband of 48 years, Leroy, are members of the Well of Monroe, a church plant of First Baptist Church of West Monroe, Louisiana. Together they serve churches in Northwest Louisiana by helping pastors of church plants and revitalizations incorporate missions into their strategy for church health.

Carolyn also works with the Women’s Learning Center (CWJC), a ministry of the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home and Family Services in Monroe, Louisiana, where she tutors women in reading and writing as they strive to achieve their HiSet (GED).

I don't know about the rest of my CBA family but some of the best summers of my life was spent at Camp Warren in Long Creek and later Nazarene Acres in Mechanicsburg. I had counselors like Stella & Leslie Eads and Marion Blankenship that poured into me, shared Jesus with me and showed me what it was like to mentor the next generation. They are names I think of often now that I am pouring into the next generation! -Jamie
