The Battle for Decatur is an annual reenactment history event organized by the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) Camp 580 Decatur Sons of Liberty.

Your Tea will be hosted by Mary Hughes.
Mary is a seasoned re-enactor and very knowledgeable about the woman’s way of life in the 1860s. She also serves as an active board member of
1st Division / SRA
(Southern Re-enactor Association)

Mark your calendars for September 4-6 2026 for “The Battle For Decatur” reenactment at Point Mallard Park.
Friday September 4th is an educational day; open to schools, private schools & homeschooled students and their chaperones. The School Day program will start at 9:30 in the open-air chapel.
Saturday & Sunday September 5&6 we are open to the public. Camp visits can start at 10:00am and the reenactment begins at 2:00pm.
The Ladies Tea starts Saturday September 5th at 11:30AM in the open-air chapel.
