South DeKalb is READY to win! 🗳️💙

Yesterday, DeKalb Democrats, elected officials, candidates, and volunteers came together for the South DeKalb “READY, SET, GO!” Rally and Volunteer Hour with one goal in mind: winning elections and electing Democrats up and down the ballot. The DeKalb Dems East DeKalb, Lithonia, Ellenwood, Redan, and Cedar Grove Communities teamed up for a wonderful forum and Q&A with our candidates and elected officials

The energy was high, the conversations were focused, and our volunteers left ready to turn that enthusiasm into action at the doors, on the phones, and throughout our communities.

Following the rally, attendees will have opportunities to sign up to:

We were excited to hear from an outstanding group of speakers, including Josh McLaurin , Nikki Porcher For Georgia Labor Commissioner , Shelia Edwards for Public Service Commissioner GA , Commissioner Michelle Long Spears , Katherine E. Juhan-Arnold , Kim Jackson and Beth Fuller , who shared their perspectives on the work ahead and the importance of organizing across DeKalb County.

After hearing from Democratic leaders and candidates, volunteers hit the doors to talk directly with voters about what’s at stake this November and the future we can build together.

This is what grassroots organizing looks like: Democrats working together, neighbor to neighbor and door to door, to elect Democrats up and down the ballot and build a Georgia that works for everyone.

DeKalb Dems packed the house at Wild Heaven Beer & Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q in Toco Hills for a happy hour full of good food, good people, and good conversation. Great to hear from Peter Hubbard and Shelia Edwards, running together for Public Service Commission on lowering electric bills and making Big Tech pay its share — and to see so many neighbors ready to get involved. It was an incredible day connecting with Democrats from across Georgia, celebrating the strength of our party, and getting energized for the work ahead.

The DeKalb Dems - East DeKalb Community recently hosted its first in-person meet and greet to officially welcome new Post Seat Holders and Precinct Captains to the team! They were also honored to be joined by newly elected House Representative Venola Mason and her staff

It was an absolutely amazing, relaxing, and memorable time connecting with everyone. Thank you for coming out!

Today the DeKalb Dems celebrated America’s birthday by marching in the Dunwoody 4th of July Parade!

Democracy is not a spectator sport, and DeKalb Dems showed up to prove it! 💙 So proud to march alongside friends and neighbors who believe in showing up, speaking out, and voting like it matters. Because it does.
