It's easy to grasp the idea of grace when it comes to salvation, but then revert to legalism for sanctification. If you blow it and you run from the Lord to try to clean yourself up and then come back, you do not understand grace... But if you blow it and you run to him, that's an evidence of grace. You have no sin, past, present and future, that has more power than the cross of Jesus Christ. None.

THE POWER OF GRACE CAME TO HELP YOU THROUGH YOUR TRIAL.

This morning's message is a reminder that no pain, disappointment, or trial is meaningless in the hands of God. He graciously uses every circumstance to shape our character, deepen our faith, and draw us closer to Him. Even when we cannot understand His purposes, we can trust that His grace is at work, redeeming our suffering for His glory and our good.

Somewhere along the way we decided grace gets you in the door, and then it's on you to actually become holy. That's backwards, and it'll wreck you if you buy into it. The same grace that saved you is the same grace that sanctifies you. There's no graduation from grace to effort. It's grace the whole way down.
