Shine On Coffee Roasters

We're on the lookout for a new location for the store. Grace Life Church has been wonderful to us but we've outgrown our space and need to move into a more commercial spot. We'd like to stay in the southeast but are open to anywhere in Decatur if it's the right fit. 6,000-10,000 square feet, a door for donations and obviously handicap accessible. Anybody got a space or know of somewhere that we've missed ? We don't need a huge space like Bargain Hunt or Big Lots.

You know when you feel like God may be moving you somewhere else…but you’re just not sure. Well, God has made this so clear to Bart and me. We are closing Shine On. Man we have so many great memories. We have so many friends that have come from this small coffee business. We knew when we started Shine On that it wasn’t about us. These past 9 years have been nothing but good with this business. Thank you is not enough. Thank you to our kids for support and those early days at the farmers market. Thank you to our parents that helped run the farmers market, clean out the roaster, pick up beans, helped us make deliveries. Thank you to Robert, who’s been with Bart almost since the beginning…couldn’t have made it without him. Thank you to our friends before Shine On that supported us. Thank you to our friends that we met through Shine On that supported us. There are some very special people in this community ❤️❤️❤️ who knows, you may see Shine On again one day..but for now…Robert will still be roasting at High Point. He can roast some awesome coffee beans for you. Lastly, God is good all the time, and all the time God is good. We are excited about this new journey. Love you guys.

Bart began roasting coffee over 8 years ago. What started out as a fun hobby for him, quickly turned into a business. Our kiddos were little then and helped out stamping bags, sealing bags, and selling. Bart has been selling Shine On at the for the past 8 years, roasting in a spot across from the hospital, and selling to businesses, churches, and individual customers. We moved the roaster to 2 summers ago. Bart’s dad was able to see that move before he passed. I will never forget how proud he was. After resigning from teaching 1 1/2 year ago, I took on the business. What inspired Bart 8 years ago, is now inspiring me. I roast fresh specialty coffee each week . Did you know our Shine On story started with this guy? 8 years ago, Bart tried to use this popcorn popper to roast coffee. He smoked out our entire house. I talked him into getting a small tabletop roaster. Friends and family were loving the coffee he was producing, so we branched out and started selling at the …after awhile, we invested in the roaster we have now and Bart continued to roast with the help of awesome Robert. We moved the roaster into a year and a half ago; and a year ago, I quit teaching and learned the roasting process. Today, you will find me roasting at HighPoint and loving every minute of it.
