I was so sorry to hear the news about Clare Nell Breeden passing. I first met Clare Nell when I came to Meigs County as the American Cancer Society staff working with Relay about 16 years ago. She was very friendly and gave me all the information about the Meigs Walk and worked with me and the committee as we made it an official Relay. Clare Nell was the Event Chair for many years and then took over the games at Relay. If you ever attended a Relay, you saw her there. I talked to Clare Nell on the phone for a good while about 2 months ago. I’m glad I had that opportunity and the opportunity to know her. She was a true inspiration, a wonderful volunteer, a fighter, a believer and loved her grand babies. She will be missed by everyone who had the honor to know her. Angela Mathis
