Wising Up Press

Universal Table/Wising Up Press is an organization committed to fostering the appreciation of pluralism in many different dimensions of our social lives. Wising Up Press started in 2007 with a clear social mission: finding ways to live better together in a diverse society, something we sum up as Finding the We in Them, the Us in You. We publish the Wising Up Anthologies, which explore various dimensions of pluralism by combining the poetry, fiction, essays and memoirs of contemporary writers. We also publish the work of individual writers through our Wising Up Writers Collective and conduct longterm listening projects on areas key to pluralism—for example, spiritual understanding across faith traditions; immigration, citizenship, and belonging; and the lasting weight of felony.
