Finally, scholarships are awarded to college-bound seniors. The scholarships are selected through a random drawing of all seniors who qualify.
In addition, the Club sponsors a Homecoming luncheon for all current and former faculty members to thank them for all their hard work for our children through the years.

On Tuesday, as part of the Chamber's Excellence in Leadership Decatur-Morgan County program, the Chamber hosted a school superintendent panel discussion featuring Dr. Dan Brigman from Decatur City Schools, Decatur, Alabama, Bill W. Hopkins Jr., from Morgan County Schools, and Dr. Vic Wilson from Hartselle City Schools. The three took questions from the 30-member class on topics including state funding, building up leaders in their school systems, challenges in education and their hope for students of the future. Each of the three systems have partnerships with one another to share facilities, teachers and other resources that focus on student success, and our area is incredibly fortunate to have leaders who recognize the value of working together. Thanks to each of them for their dedication and tireless efforts for our young people!

Please take the time to share this information with your friends, family and acquaintances! Then get involved and be a positive force in Decatur's very bright future.
