Contemporary Glass and Mirror of South Florida is currently seeking an experienced and proficient professional to fill a position as Glass and Glazing Estimator to prepare bid proposals for private and public projects as a contractor. REMOTE and some face to face. THIS IS A CONTRACTING ROLE.

Our job requirements are reviewing job specifications; visiting job sites; attending pre-construction meetings; reviewing contracts; maintaining bid process schedules and communicating bid status; soliciting and reviewing vendor and subcontractor quotes; maintaining bid spreadsheets.

Role Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years prior experience as a estimator
• Ability to read, interpret, & understand architectural drawings and specifications and provide detailed feedback
• Experience using computer software estimating programs to prepare estimates of aluminum glazing systems & their applications.
• Must be able to communicate effectively & maintain professional conduct, excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Autocad/Bluebeam system experience is a plus.
• Knowledge on Microsoft Office.
• Prior estimating knowledge preferred.

Main Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret blueprints for a job.
• Review and prepare bid proposals for new work.
• Follow up on estimates and provide feedback.
• Ability to read Engineer, Architecture and Fabrication drawings, along with interpreting/explaining contracts and technical information to other colleagues and construction professionals.

Experience:
• Commercial estimating 5 + years (preferred).
• Commercial glazing estimating: 3 + years.
