Halloween safety tip #5 🍭

Have your parents check your candy! Your parents check your homework to make sure you did it correctly. They can check your candy to make sure it’s safe. Most people are good, but occasionally you will run into a bad apple. Let’s make sure that candy is safe before eating! If you need anyone to check the peanut butter cups to make sure they are safe... we know someone 😉!

Halloween safety tip #4 🎃 👻

Capoeira kids plan ahead! If you fail to plan you plan to fail! Select a place to meet up Incase you get seperated! If you get separated from your group (and your 📱battery is dead) having a place selected to meet up is essential to safety.

As a capoeirista we practice safety in everything we do. We always use self-control when training with our partners. Halloween is no different! Make sure you take the proper precautions so cars can see you. Carry a flashlight, glow stick, our use reflective tape on your costume!

Here is your first Halloween safety tip 🎃:

Don’t go trick or treating alone, and stay with your group! Practice your self awareness in class, at home, and school to prepare for the big day!

Special request to all students returning to school this week: If you see someone who is struggling to make friends or being bullied because they don't have friends or because they are shy or not dressed in the best clothes PLEASE step up. Say hi or at least smile at them in the hallway. You never know what that person might be facing outside of school. Your kindness might just make a BIG difference in someone's life! Pass this on and share with your kids 🐯 🌈 🧡 💫

Our lesson for the Tiny Tigers last week was “it can’t always be your turn.” Simple class lessons help our young students grow up with the values of Capoeira.
