Columbia Theological Seminary joyfully announces Rev. Dr. Gina Marcia Stewart as the Baccalaureate speaker for the Class of 2026.

Rev. Dr. Stewart serves as Senior Pastor of Christ Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. A trailblazing leader and prophetic voice in the church, she has broken historic barriers as the first woman to hold several prominent leadership roles within Baptist life, including becoming the first woman to preach at the National Baptist Joint Board Session.

Her ministry reflects a deep commitment to the Gospel, to justice, and to the ongoing formation of leaders equipped to serve a changing world with faith and courage.

As we gather for this sacred moment of reflection and celebration, we look forward to the word she will bring; one that will ground us, challenge us, and prepare to send forth the Class of 2026 into lives of faithful witness and bold leadership.

We invite you to join us for this meaningful service. Details, including date and time, are available here: https://www.ctsnet.edu/celebrating-the-class-of-2026/

This morning, our community gathered for a Service of Footwashing and Testimony — and did what Jesus did the night before everything changed.

"I have set you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you." — John 13:15

Holy Week begins not with triumph, but with a towel. Blessed Holy Week from Columbia Theological Seminary.
