This Saturday, October 11, the world celebrates , established by the United Nations to recognize girls’ rights and amplify their voices around the globe. 🌍✨

This year’s theme, “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis,” calls us to honor the brilliance, resilience, and leadership of girls who are not only impacted by crisis, but are boldly creating solutions and transforming their communities.

At Southern Black Girls, we’re starting early — celebrating the girls and women across our network who embody this theme every day.

Join us all week as we shine a light on their stories, leadership, and impact; and reaffirm our shared commitment to advancing equity, dignity, and justice for every girl, everywhere.

Because when we invest in girls, we invest in generations. 💪🏾💫

Were you there when we announced the Felecia L. Lucky Fellows Program? Did you experience the moment when an idea transformed into a movement loaded with excitement on everyone's faces as we envisioned creating pathways for the next generation of young Black leaders in the South?

Now comes the part where we turn that energy into action. Find out more about the program and how you can support it here: https://blackbeltfound.org/fllfellows/

Over the last 21 years, Felecia Lucky has always said, "We have done a lot with a little. Imagine what happens when there's a lot involved." For 21 years, she proved what one extraordinary leader could accomplish with limited resources.

The Fellows Program is our chance to find out what happens when that same vision has the resources it deserves.
