"Make as much noise as possible in dark times. You will be remembered when it's light again."

Nolan and Associates has a great little pamphlet on "The Cricket Theory", it's definitely worth a look as we pass through this artistic/creative 'Dark Time'.

Join us for TheBLVD Block Party December 28th @ 7:30pm, exclusively for BLVD members. Hosted By Elliott Folds and featuring performances by high performing creatives, we're celebrating our community and its members. You don't want to miss professional dancer and choreographer Kimmie Gee's performance!

Dancers, at their core, are storytellers. In their element, dancers become one with the music, moving through an elegant sweep of the arms, intricate rolls of the hips, a leg stretched to the moon. KiMMiE GEE, as a professional dancer, is a true muse in motion. She dances not only to entertain an audience, but she also moves, telling a story without words.

Creating a successful dance career is only one part of KiMMiE's dance life. When she is not touring with Beyonce, she is on the road with KiMMESTRY, serving as a muse to young people who need uplifting.

KiMMESTRY (chem*is*try), the study of self-esteem and the changes it undergoes through dance, is her personal project that puts her in front of young people who need to be encouraged and inspired. She is very passionate about her message to young women, daring them to dream big and reach for the moon.

Join us for TheBLVD Block Party December 28th @ 7:30pm, exclusively for BLVD members. Hosted By Elliott Folds and featuring performances by high performing creatives, we're celebrating our community and its members, including our resident funny man, Jaye Devan!

Originally from Philadelphia, Jaye's youth was shaped by a large extended family and a strict but loving mother. He recognized his ability to make people laugh by the age of 5, and after relocating to the South as a teen, used this talent to gain new friends in an unfamiliar atmosphere. He was cast in the lead role of several comedic plays in his Speech & Drama class and would earn the title of class clown in his senior year of high school.

After joining the Marine Corps, he tried his hand at standup, after being prodded onstage at a base talent show. Taking second place solidified his love for the art of standup and he was soon moonlighting with a fellow Marine, performing at mics and clubs around Southern California. After attempting to balance the transition to civilian life with comedy unsuccessfully, Jaye would step away from the stage in May 1998 but the fire would burn for years to come.

In July 2013, after 15 years and the encouragement of friends, Jaye returned to the stage to pursue his passion for standup. Armed with a bevy of life experience, he sought to provide audiences with a glimpse inside the mind of an 'everyday dude'. Possessing an unfiltered candor and straightforward approach, his comedy consists of stories about relationships/marriage, fatherhood and his observations on daily life.
