Decatur Public Library-Illinois

For our Warrensburg friends, this picture shows the inside of Schroeder's Hardware store (date unknown). According to the H&R 1983 auction sale ad, the store was established in 1896 and in 1905 it moved to the present location. The Schroeders were very active in the community and their father built the first house in Warrensburg, according to "Past and Present of the City of Decatur and Macon County" (1903).

School-Age Art in June did some amazing Lady Liberty portraits with Mrs. Brewster! There is still room in the 1pm class for July 13 - registration link below. Many thanks to the Friends of the Decatur Public Library for sponsoring these classes and others!
