TIPS!!! Be Careful Paying Off Old Debts
If a debt is “charged off” by the creditor, it means they do not expect further payments. If you make a payment on a charged off account, it reactivates the debt and lowers your credit score. This often happens when collection agencies are involved.

TIPS!!! Don’t Close Unused Credit Card Accounts
The age of your credit history matters and a longer history is better. If you must close credit accounts, close newer ones.

TIPS!!! Apply for New Credit Sparingly
Although it increases your total credit limit, it hurts your score if you apply for or open several new accounts in a short time.

TIPS!!! Contact Your Creditors
Do this immediately to set up a payment plan if you miss payment deadlines and can’t afford your monthly bills. Quickly addressing your problem can ease the negative effect of late payments and high outstanding balances.

Pay More Than Once in a Billing Cycle
If you can afford it, pay down your bills every two weeks rather than once a month. This lowers your credit utilization and improves your score.

Set Up Payment Reminders
Write down payment deadlines for each bill in a planner or calendar and set up reminders online. Consistently paying your bills on time can raise your score within a few months.

Credit facts ‼️‼️
A lot of times when things aren’t coming off your credit it’s because of INNACURATE addresses on your report, if you have addresses you NO LONGER stay at and your trying to dispute a account associated with that address it won’t be removed. you need to take the necessary steps to remove those addresses. which can raise your score ❕
STUDENT LOANS can be removed but need to be closed
MEDICAL BILLS can be deleted off your credit being that them being on your credit is a violation of the HIPPA law and your rights ❕
If ANY debt has been SOLD or given to a agency , your NO LONGER responsible for it 💯 they debt was paid for by that third party to the original creditor and you no longer owe that debt 💯 ALSO it is illegal for a third party to reach out to you and call your phone inquiring about this debt and you can actually get paid up to $1,500 if they continue to contact you. 💯
Also LAST BUT NOT LEAST there are 4 results when getting your credit together …. DELETED (THE GOAL) UPDATED which means they updated the information but STILL dispute it ‼️‼️ VERIFIED which means they verified the account was yours with the credit bureau, follow up with the second round of letters.
“NO RESPONSE” which means they didn’t respond at all after 30 days send another round of letters. Depending what you have on your credit the first round of letters don’t always work 💯 so a second round or even a third round of letters may have to be sent. it’s a process but it can be done 💯

TIPS!!! Review Your Credit Report

You are entitled to one free credit report a year from each of the three reporting agencies and requesting one has no impact on your credit score. Review each report closely. Dispute any errors that you find. This is the closest you can get to a quick credit fix.

Some are simple mistakes like a misspelled name, address, or accounts belonging to someone else with the same name. Other errors are costlier, such as accounts that incorrectly are reported late or delinquent; debts listed twice; closed accounts that are reported as still open; accounts with an incorrect balance or credit limit.
