Today is Election Day. If you didn’t vote early, please exercise your right to vote today. I’m happy to vote and see so many friends on the ballot who have offered themselves for public service. I’m happy that my teenager who normally struggles to get up in the morning was up on her own before me and said, “aren’t you up for re-election today?” I’m happy that in 4 years, she’ll be able to vote. Lastly, I’m happy, actually grateful that I get the opportunity to continue serving the citizens of DeKalb County in the State Court.

Grateful to serve with the committed public servants of DeKalb State Court Div. B-8. We had a wonderful time fellowshipping today at our Holiday Division Luncheon. We wish you a Happy Holiday Season!

Congratulations to all of the award and scholarship recipients at the GABWA gala. It was so good to see so many friends and former colleagues at such a wonderful event!

So THIS happened last week. In the midst of everything, DeKalb County elected me to serve another term. It is truly my honor and privilege, and I thank you. Thank you so much to my many supporters. I will continue to preside with honesty and fairness.

On Monday, I qualified for election to the position that I was appointed to in 2015: DeKalb State Court Judge-Traffic Division. It was a day that I will always remember and I was so happy to have the support of family, friends, and supporters. I was also proud to experience it with my fellow jurist in the Traffic Division, Judge Ronald Ramsey, Sr. I am happy to announce that the qualifying period has closed and I will not have opposition in the election in May. DeKalb Co., I am blessed that I will have the opportunity to serve you again in this position the next 4 years. I'm also grateful for your support and confidence in me; and excited to continue service with Judges Alexander, Ramsey, and Ross
