The Decatur/Forsyth area offers a wonderful cultural tourism experience: quaint shops in a charming historic downtown business district, galleries exhibiting all media of art, and a wide variety of unique, quality restaurants. Over 300 events and festivals take place in our area each year encompassing arts, crafts, music, dance, fun fairs, sports, Farm Progress Showβ’, and just about anything else you can imagine!

We're so thankful for the many people who make this event possible. From the American Power Boat Association, Decatur Park District, Decatur Illinois - City Government, Dan Hardy and the Hardy Foundation, the race committee, sponsors, volunteers, racers, and everyone who plays a role in making Hardy's Race for the Lake such a special event. Your dedication and hard work help create an incredible experience for everyone involved.
