God is to be praised continually in many ways.

Some of which are my regular attendance to Him in the ordinances He has appointed, such as: worship, praise, thanksgiving, forgiving, and giving.

I will bring an offering — the fruit of my lips and of my heart to worship Him in the beauty of holiness.

~•~

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
~ 1 Chronicles 16:29 (KJV)

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
~ Hebrews 13:15 (KJV)

Paul was such a fountain of spiritual energy, love, and encouragement.

~•~

For this cause we also, I do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

~ Colossians 1:9-12 (KJV)

The short version of a long post:

I miss you.
Your church family misses you.

I offer a heartfelt invitation to you to begin, continue, or resume your attendance anytime you can.

We offer this with love and concern, and in humility and openness.

Thank you for being part of our spiritual family.

May we live, love, and grow together in Christ.

May God bless you & your family.

I look forward to seeing you and hearing from you. Please, feel free to contact me or your local church.

The “long” post:

We live in uncertain times.
It seems reasonable that we have entered into the times spoken of by Jesus: wars, rumors of wars, famines, signs of diverse kinds. And “peace”.

Oh, yes, that man-made, man-inspired “peace” we have always heard about.
It’s coming.
Don’t be fooled.

~•~

When troubled by these things, and the things to come, we take courage from God in prayer, in His word, in our family, and in the church.

The church provides us strength in fellowship, in the Spirit, and in the truth of His Word.
Truth prepares us; lest that day catch us unaware.

Thank you for being part of our spiritual family. We, the members in particular, benefit from each other's presence, strength, and spiritual gift.

We are growing together into Christ.

We are not just doing something.
We are becoming something.

~•~

For those who have not been able to attend for whatever reason, we miss you.
You have been with us before; now, we miss you and the strength you provided.

We welcome your presence and strength. Together, we can be a help and strength to each other.
Together, our love can grow and reach others in the church, our families, our community - our world.

We extend a heartfelt invitation to you to begin, continue, or resume your attendance anytime you can. We offer this with love and concern, and in humility and openness.

Again, thank you for being part of our spiritual family. May we live, love, and grow together in Christ.

May God bless you & your family.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God [to mortify the flesh], they are the children of God.
~ Romans 8:14 (KJV)

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
~ Romans 8:13 (KJV)

The hand of God was in all Christ’s birth, life, death, and resurrection.

Both the humiliation and the exaltation of Jesus were the work of the Father.

~•~

“The Builders” rejected Jesus,
but God was in Him nonetheless.

Don’t reject Jesus.
Don’t reject God’s work.

~•~

Be blessed to see it.
Be blessed to rejoice in it.

It is marvellous!

~•~

Today is the day of salvation,
by God,
through His Son, Jesus Christ.

~•~

~ Psalm 118:22-24 (KJV)

The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Hey! Don’t forget!

~•~

Abraham did it in Genesis 18.

Lot did it in Genesis 19.

Jesus said His disciples did it in Matthew 25.

Perhaps, Jesus alludes to the idea that WE may also do it in Matthew 25.

~•~

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
- Hebrews 13:2 (KJV)

~•~

Jesus said:

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them,
Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

- Matthew 25:37-40 (KJV)

Happy Sunday!

Looking forward to today’s service… and a time of reflection for Memorial Day tomorrow.

May you have a meaningful Memorial Day tomorrow — a day to reflect on those who gave their life so that we may peace and freedom.

All gave some. Some gave all.
We appreciate their ultimate sacrifice so that we may have peace and freedom.

As we think of the selflessness and heroism of the fallen, we are reminded of the words of Jesus Christ who said, in John 15:13:
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

The sacrifices of these men and women are truly great and thank-worthy.
Let us also remember, the greatest sacrifice of all time was made by a man in the garden of Gethsemane and on the cross of Golgotha. He poured out His life unto death, physically and spiritually, that all men might live.

May we not neglect His sacrifice so that we may live in peace and freedom.
For only Christ can meet the deepest needs of our hearts — and our world.
Only He can bring the lasting peace and freedom that we all so desperately need.

The LORD knoweth the days of the upright; and their inheritance shall be for ever.
~ Psalm 37:18

~•~

God, that is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, recognizes and takes note of our days.

God knows we all need grace to be saved. Noted!
And He sees how we respond to His Grace. Also, noted!

What is equally important to know is, God notices what we do with His grace — how we respond to His grace.

~•~

He keeps account of the days of our “salvation”.

Oh yes, He sees when we fall.

And be assured, He sees when we don’t fall.

He sees when we are rejoicing. And He sees when we are suffering.

He knows our bright, sunshiny days. He knows our dark and cloudy days.

He knows us in both of these extremes and is with us, even unto the end.

~•~

Our inheritance (or final reward) shall be heavenly.

It shall NOT be earthly, corruptible, and capable of becoming old or ruined —
but rather, it shall be heavenly, incorruptible, and eternal.

A reward laid up for us in heaven.

~•~

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
~ James 1:12 (KJV)

~ and so many other scriptures.
