Patrol Officer James Leroy Bennett, Decatur Police Department, Texas Officer James Bennett was shot and killed when he stopped a suspect wanted for stealing a .22 caliber rifle in a nearby town.

Officer uninjured in wrong-way driver crash - Wise County Messenger A Decatur Police officer escaped injury in a wrong-way driver collision Monday. The wreck happened in the 800 block of U.S. 380 around 7:15 p.m.
