It has been brought to our attention that an ex employee of which was employed more than 8 years ago for a short time is using our business as a way to hurt people we hold dear in our community. I will not mention specific names or people involved as I think they have been harassed enough, what I will say on behalf of Last Chance is this: We have made it our mission to help people in our community through our charity works as well as being decent human beings. Our first and only charity for along time was working with people with disabilities. I hold the work of people and charities in this particular field in high regard as I myself was raised in a time of were I was considered "re****ed" for being severely dyslexic and have several learning disabilities that put me back for years. In that time, no matter the degree of disability or what part of the "spectrum" you were you were labeled as such. I had wonder parents and professionals that gave me the right tools to succeed in life and the biggest of those tools was that I was no different from anyone else or less than because I learned differently. We are all human and the need to stop, learn, and understand someone else's differences and disabilities should be a given but sadly its not. There are people that are always going to be hateful, judge, and be horrible to people and that honestly makes me sad and angry, especially when someone dedicates their life to caring for and being the light in people with disabilities lives. I commend this person on her handwork and dedication and I wish more people where like her. I wish for allot of things....but this is the most important We as humans need to do better.....and this individual that said horrible things needs to do better and get the help he needs. I have reached out to all parties involved and thank everyone that reached out and messaged us here. I am just sorry it didn't get address allot sooner unfortunately I have been out due to medical issues.
