Hi all, it’s time Imagine That band packs up the gear to say, so long from all of us to you!
It took me a little time to wind this down after our final show Oct, 11, 2025 to put a final touch to all of those years of fun.
When Johnny Vasquez and I started the band in 1991 I never thought that it would end up creating so many memories and be such a staple in Central Illinois for the next 34 years.
All those times building the band took a lot of energy and diligence to remain focused on just doing one thing, being a source of entertainment and making people dance.
As a cover band you work to cover songs as they were written and get everyone singing and dancing along which creates the energy for the band to feed off of and you all provided memories we will never forget.
The fans we made over the years were the reason we kept going and we thank all of you for the times you spent with us all those crazy nights at clubs like Snappers, Timbuktu, Sliderz, The Final 4, Al’s Main Event (wow that one takes us way back), and then all the countless backyard parties, wedding receptions, corporate parties, parking lot parties, birthdays, anniversaries, outdoor stages, beer tents, New Years Eve, Halloween gigs, Charters Patio, Boondocks, The Celebration stages, The Lincoln Theater, U of I Homecoming Tailgate, and the Devon Amphitheater, and finally our final show at The Wagon.
I have to thank my parents for their gift of music and telling me at an early age that if they get me the instrument then I can’t ever quit playing, and so it goes…
Our families are such a big part of why we make music and to all of you that shared all of those bandmates with me, I thank you for all of that borrowed time we shared.
For the 25th Bandiversary I shared a video that named all of the musicians that were part of the band over the years and I am posting that again for you to view plus we have another video we showed at our final show that will be posted soon as well.
I spent some time reminiscing and looking at photos and videos tonight before sharing this and there were hundreds of events we shared throughout the years on the FB page and if you get a chance look back at some, check out some of the videos and give us a listen, there is some great content to see.
To my bandmates that made it to the final show with me, Harvey, Vic, Emma, Mike, and Dan, I loved working with you and sharing the stage every night we played, there was definitely something special about the chemistry of this group and I am humbled to have worked with all of you, you all made me a better musician and friend!
When the song “Imagine That” (Diamond Rio) came out years ago I reworked the words of the chorus: “Imagine That… the band will last forever… Imagine That… for all the world to see..Imagine That, when people get together the way it outta be…Oh Oh Oh Imagine That”
The encores have played, the bandatory toast is finished, goodnight everyone and be safe getting home!

Notice concerning October 11
Imagine that band…
This may be their last or one of the last performances and we are expecting a large turnout for the show. With that in mind we have to make some adjustments to our operations and hope everyone will understand.
First … no reservations will be taken unable to accommodate that situation
Kitchen hours will be adjusted and shortened
The last food order will be no later than 6:45
Dining room tables will be for food customers and not available to band customers until 7:00
We would ask if you plan on dinner and the band that you promptly move to band room after dinner… no food in band room. We will do our level best to accommodate everyone but ask that you help us by being patient and understanding during this busy time.
Thank you for your support and understanding

Wow is all that can be said for the amazing day at the McLoed tailgate party at the Illinois Homecoming game, we rocked people’s faces off in the blazing heat and a big shout out to Harrison Sound for the biggest sound in Grange Grove.
