It's Not Always About Willpower
Most people blame themselves.
I usually start by looking at what's happening behind the scenes.
The answer isn't always "more discipline."

Three years ago, I almost talked myself out of a speaking opportunity with Loyola University.
I kept thinking, "Who am I to do this?"
Three years later, I'm their opening presenter because my session resonates with attendees.
Imposter syndrome makes us question opportunities we've already been given.
But feeling uncomfortable isn't the same as being unqualified.
The opportunity didn't change. My willingness to stop arguing with it did.
How many opportunities do we miss because we've decided we don't belong?
Tonight, I return to a room I never thought I'd be invited to.
