Hey! A little about me…
I’ve spent almost 20 years in retail, building businesses, leading teams, developing people and creating experiences for some pretty incredible brands. Most recently, I served as the Senior Director, Store Manager of Macy’s Northlake, and eventually had the honor of closing those doors.
Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I decided it was time to stop putting all of my energy into building someone else’s vision and bet on myself. That bet led me here. ❤️
Outside of work, my favorite titles are wife & mom. My husband and I eloped in June 😱 still feels crazy saying that! He’s a retired Marine, my absolute rock, and genuinely one of the sweetest humans I’ve ever met.
I’m mom to an almost 17 y.o. straight-A student who keeps me humble and fully aware that apparently I know absolutely nothing 😂 I also have two bonus babies who experience the world a little differently and have taught our family that there is never just one way to learn, love or show up.
This is the first community in a very long time where I’ve felt comfortable enough to unpack the boxes, learn my neighbors, find my favorite spots and actually settle... we’ve moved 9 times 15 years 😱
I know how to build businesses. I know how to develop relationships. I know how to connect people, and create experiences that make people want to come back. Now I get to take everything I’ve learned over the last 20 years and pour it into a community I actually call home.
I want to know the restaurant everybody swears by. The business owner quietly doing amazing work. The teacher everybody loves. The family with the incredible story. The new spot we need to try, the old spot we better not let disappear, and the people making Decatur feel like Decatur.
So consider this my official hello. I’m Tee, the new owner and publisher of Decatur City Lifestyle | Decatur, GA

🎆 Happy 4th of July, Decatur.
There's something special about celebrating independence in a city that has always understood what community really means — where neighbors look out for each other, the Square fills up for any reason worth gathering, and music carries across the park on a warm summer night.
We're grateful for this city. Grateful for the people in it. And grateful that today, we get to call Decatur home. 🤍❤️💙
How are you celebrating? Drop your plans below — and tag us in your Decatur 4th photos! 📸⬇️

🐝 Today, 10am–2pm, Harmony Park in Oakhurst.
National Pollinator Week Festival is back — and Decatur has something to celebrate this year. Ten years as Georgia's first Bee City USA affiliate. A decade of turning our backyards, parks, and playgrounds into habitat for the bees that keep our ecosystem alive.
"Bees and pollinators are creatures with which we need to learn to co-exist. They are critical to the ecological health of our community." — Peter Helfrich, Beecatur

🎶 Tonight. Decatur Square. The War and Treaty.
Grammy-nominated. Deeply soulful. Country, gospel, and soul blended into something that feels bigger than genre — and tonight they're performing free on Decatur Square.
This is one of those concerts you'll be talking about for years. The kind of night where the music carries across the Square, a stranger becomes a friend, and you feel grateful to live here.
Come early. Bring everyone. 🖤

📺 You know his face from Good Day Atlanta. Now meet the man behind the camera.
Paul Milliken, Emmy Award-winning feature reporter for Fox 5, shares his story in our June issue — the small-town start, every job in TV news, the adventures in caves and on mountains that make viewers feel like they're right there with him.
His advice for anyone still figuring things out? "You've got time. I'd try to enjoy the moment more and trust that things will happen when they're supposed to."
And next up — he's co-writing his first book. 📚
