Decatur Elk's #993

A sad day has arrived. Our Elks Lodge is now permanently closed for business. Our Lodge was Instituted July 20, 1906, just over 118 years ago. The Lodges' location moved several times before reaching its present location at 327 North Second Street. In the late 1950's, a fire occurred in the 3rd floor ballroom of the previous lodge, affecting the roof. Although the damage was not that significant, members made a decision to build a brand new building. The new building, the one you see today, opened in 1960. Many memories were created over the years, including our final event last night (Saturday, March 22). The evening was coordinated by ER Dustin Drake and his wife, Kelly (Secretary). Pizza & pulled pork was available. Greg Conrad was the DJ. March Madness was on the tvs. Conversation and laughs were free flowing. We are presently in the process of working toward a merger with the Bluffton Elks Lodge #796 under guidance from Grand Lodge.

The Decatur Elks Lodge on North Second Street is no longer available for any rentals effective immediately. We apologize for this change, however, circumstances are beyond our control. We THANK all of the members and patrons that have utilized our Lodge for their parties, celebrations and events across past years.

The Elks will open at 6pm tonight!

Today our lodge hosted the Hoop Shoot at St. Joe. We had 26 kids show up for the event. What a great turnout.
