Female hirsutism can be caused by a number of different factors. We recommend seeing an endocrinologist PRIOR to starting electrolysis, for a full hormone panel. If you are currently on medications make sure they aren't causing hirsutism as a side effect.

Electrolysis IS permanent method for hair removal, however its important to know the cause, in order to prevent new hair growth after receiving a treatment plan

Sunscreen typically only gets its glory during the warmer months

However, sunscreen is crucial year round- especially if you are receiving electrolysis and other skin care methods, or prone to hyperpigmentation

Remember to wear moisturize and wear sunscreen daily- SPF 30 at the least, but we recommend SPF 50, and reapply every 2hrs if outdoors and in direct sunlight

Your skin will thank you in return

It's important to keep in mind that proper post treatment care is just as important as the treatment itself

After every treatment we offer cataphoresis -which promotes healing and reduces swelling, as well as aloe

If you are prone to hyperpigmentation its important to ice your face the first day after treatment as well as well as after hot showers.

*May add rose petals with ice and place in a cheese cloth or coffee filter for an ultimate luxury spa feel at home

Have an aloe plant at home?
Put it to use after your next electrolysis treatment

Refrigerate it and apply after treatment, and for at least 24-72 hours post treatment.
Stays fresh if kept in a closed container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
If you add a few drops of orange essential oil or similar (as a preservative) can last for up to 30days

We prioritize healthy skin and recommend to clients the 10 step Korean skincare routine

**Steps 3, 5 and 7 are only done 2-3 times per week**

Exfoliation plays a huge part in our skin care routine especially when you are prone to ingrown hair and hyperpigmentation.

Mechanical- is the use of a electric or manual skin brush

Chemical- is the use of products such as AHA/BHA's that are in a liquid form

Sugar/Salt scrub - common ones are brown sugar or sea salt

We recommend to clients to exfoliates 2-3 times per week, and to wait at least 3 days post treatment if they don't have any signs of irritation or inflammation in the area- prior to exfoliating.

What's the difference?

New Hair= weekly/daily growth

Regrowth= Hair that returns 6-8 weeks after that specific treatment

Many clients get these confused

The hair that you see days or a few weeks after treatment, is not the same hair before the treatment. It is new hair

Due to us having many hair growth cycles and phases- the telogen (dead) hair that was removed but wasn't a anagen (alive) hair during the the treatment, will return on average of 6-8 weeks post that particular treatment. Which is regrowth.

Stay consistent! Trust the process!

This is the number one question we ask clients. We all know consistency is the key, but how consistent should YOU be?

Everyone's treatment plan is unique
However, if treating the same area, treatments must be spaced out to allow your skin time to heal

We recommend 1 week minimum if treating the same area

Share with your electrologist how soon you see hair
