Welcome to BWN. Say hello to our passionate and dedicated founder, Dr. Kisha Jones-Pate, who started this journey over 15 years ago to build a community of women entrepreneurs and professionals across the globe 🌍. What began as a small group grew rapidly and quickly became a huge success in an era that wasn’t yet embracing Black women in prominent positions and roles. Black Women Networking International is a leadership-based organization dedicated to helping women and girls reach their highest goals and achieve their dreams beyond personal growth and development. This group is a massive networking platform on a mission to bridge the income gap thats created with social stigmas, demographic issues and stereotypes that plague our culture. This inclusive sisterhood prides itself on being a strong community that supports all. Join us at our in-person and virtual events. Most importantly, BWN is a Christian-based organization with a vision to spread AGAPE love ❤️. Visit www.Blackwomennetworking.org and the BWN (Black Women Networking International Inc.) Georgia group on Facebook to connect. BWN(Black Women Networking International Inc.)Georgia

The Threatt Filling Station in Oklahoma, the only Black-owned station on historic Route 66, has been revived by dedicated descendants determined to honor their ancestors’ legacy.

Founded in 1915 and housed in its current building since 1933, the Threatt Filling Station was the first and only Black-owned service station on Route 66 before closing in the 1970s, News On 6 reports.

Now, after renovations by descendants of the original owner, Allen Threatt Sr., much of the station’s original charm has been restored and is ready for the Route 66 centennial.
