Is it the warm weather? Is it the war in Ukraine? Is it the economy? Well, whatever it is, we have had a very difficult time getting contestants (cooks) to enter our Chili and Soup Cook-Off. Because of the low entry, we have decided to postpone the event until Fall of 2022. We are looking at dates right now in October, and will announce the date as soon as we settle on one. Thank you to all of the celebrity judges that were planning to give their April 2nd to the event this year, hopefully yo will be available for the event in October. See you all soon. And…get those recipes out and ready…October will be here soon and the Greater Decatur Chili and Soup Cook-Off will be here before you know it!!! 😊

The Greater Decatur Chili and Soup Cook-Off is happening again this year…on Saturday, April 2nd. All you have to do is let us know what kind of chili and or soup (you can enter more than one) you want to make, shoot us a $25 entry fee for each entry (PayPal, CashApp, Venmo or make arrangements for cash…we are easy 😊), and get ready to make a large crockpot or large stew pot of the best chili and/or soup you can make.
And if it IS the best…you’ll get $100 as the first prize winner. Can you do it? Hmmm…respond here or FB message Dale T. McKinney to reserve your spot. 😊
