Today, we celebrated President & CEO Crystal Brown on her last day with the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce as she begins her retirement after more than 14 years of dedicated service.

So many gathered to celebrate her career, thank her for her servant leadership and recognize the lasting impact she has made on our Chamber, our community and our state.

Crystal, thank you for your vision, dedication and unwavering commitment to our business community. Congratulations on your retirement, and best wishes in this next chapter!

It was great seeing so many Chamber members at last night's After Hours hosted by Ignite Real Estate Academy! The evening was a wonderful opportunity to network, make new connections and welcome our new President & CEO, Reggie Ash, during his first week with the Chamber.

🍎 WELCOME, NEW TEACHERS! ✏️
We enjoyed welcoming Decatur City Schools - Alabama newest educators at this morning's annual New Teacher Welcome Breakfast at First Baptist Church Decatur, Alabama!

Superintendent Dr. Michael Douglas welcomed the crowd before each school's principal introduced their newest teachers. From introductions by some of the district's youngest students to the creative presentations, it was a fun morning celebrating the teachers who will help shape the next generation. Woodmeade Elementary - Decatur, Alabama certainly lived up to its motto of being BAD (in a GOOD way), bringing plenty of energy with a dance entrance that had the room smiling!

⚡ Sparks were flying at this year's SWeETy Camp! In partnership with Calhoun Community College, 30 high school girls spent four days last week exploring careers in welding, electrical technology and advanced manufacturing through hands-on projects, safety training and mentoring from women working in the skilled trades.
