From gas engines to electric motors, students explored the automotive industry firsthand at this week’s 2026 Automotive Academy! Hosted by the Chamber in partnership with Calhoun Community College, this three-day camp on Calhoun’s Decatur Campus gave high school students the opportunity to explore the automotive industry through hands-on learning experiences.

A great conversation at last week’s monthly Chamber Commodores meeting! Thank you to Decatur native Ben Neill for joining us and sharing his story of leadership, teamwork and the lessons learned throughout his football journey. From his time as a standout quarterback at Decatur High School and Samford University to now helping develop athletes at all levels, Ben shared the importance of hard work, relationships and investing in others.
