Sushi Sumo is a small restaurant, and our team works hard every day with only a few employees. When someone becomes sick or faces an unexpected situation, it is very difficult to find a substitute right away — especially for our Kitchen Master Chef, whose role is essential for serving quality food.

This morning, our Master Chef developed flu‑like symptoms, and we were unable to operate normally. For the safety of our staff and customers, Sushi Sumo had to close today.

Fortunately, we confirmed that it is not COVID and not the flu.
We will reopen as soon as possible once our chef is fully recovered.
